Assistant Professor of Sport Management

University of Southern Indiana – Evansville, IN

The Department of Kinesiology and Sport in the Pott College of Science, Engineering, and Education, at the University of Southern Indiana, invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Sport Management to begin in August 2014.

Candidates must have an earned doctorate in Sport Management or Sport Management-related field. College teaching, blackboard, and Distance Education course development experience preferred. In addition, candidates must be able to maintain an active research agenda; engage in professional and university services activities; advising; and able to teach 12-credit hours per semester. Courses may include but are not limited to Sport Finance and Economics, Sport Marketing, Sport Publicity and Promotion, Introduction to Sport Communication, and Sport Blogging and Social Media. Additional assignments include advising, assisting with Sport Management Club, Accreditation ( COSMA ), and the development of a Master’s program. Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.

The successful candidate must have an earned doctorate in Sport Management or Sport Management-related field.
