BT launches new sports TV channels BusinessDay. “BT Group plc, a British multinational telecommunications giant has launched sports channels to create strong competition and challenge the dominance of Sky Sports. In a bid to boost its sport business, BT acquired the rights to view ESPN’s UK and Ireland TV channels.
