The Sport Management Program at Washington State University is seeking to hire a clinical assistant professor for a Fall 2014 start date. This is a fulltime teaching position (12 credit teaching load each semester). The university will only make a formal commitment for one year, but our intent is to reappoint this position indefinitely, assuming sufficient funds remain available. This position is promotable to clinical associate professor after five years in rank. The starting salary is $45,000 and is non-negotiable.

We are seeking a person who has the ability to teach in two or more of the following areas: introduction to sport management, sport ethics, sport finance, sport law, sport organization theory/behavior, sport communication, sport marketing, sport sociology, sport event/facility management. Assigned courses may be in our undergraduate program, or our Master’s program, as needed. We offer an online Master’s degree program in addition to our on-campus Master’s, so it is possible that one or more assigned courses would be in an online delivery format.

To apply, please email or send a letter of application, curriculum vita, and contact information for three references to me at the address below by January 31. Those selected for interviews will be interviewed via Skype or similar technology. In the letter of application, please indicate the courses in which you have teaching expertise.
