Western State Colorado University invites applications for a full-time lecturer position in the Exercise and Sport Science (ESS) program.

The ESS program has approximately 210 majors, a comprehensive undergraduate curriculum, and five full-time faculty members. This full-time temporary position provides a great opportunity to obtain experience teaching at a small liberal arts institution in a supportive environment.

Duties:

Teaching responsibilities include the following undergraduate courses: Foundations of ESS, Lifetime Wellness, Principles of Sport Management, Facility Management, Program Design, Risk Management, and Adapted Physical Activity. Additional courses assigned according to qualifications of the individual hired. Faculty are also expected to participate in program and department work, which includes student advising.

Qualifications:

Ph.D. preferred, Master’s degree required in exercise, sport, or fitness- related field. Candidates must possess a strong commitment to undergraduate education and demonstrated excellence in teaching. Industry experience within sport or exercise settings is a plus.
