Job- Univ. of Nebraska Kearney Assistant Professor or Lecturer of Sport Management

The Department of Kinesiology and Sport Sciences in the College of Education at the University of Nebraska at Kearney is seeking applications for a full-time tenure-track Assistant Professor or Lecturer faculty position to begin in the Fall of 2014.

Job Description or Duties:

(Tenure-track if hired at Assistant Professor rank) Teach course work such as Sports Psychology, Facilities in Sport and Recreation, Sport and Recreation Marketing, Programming in Recreation and Sport, Research in Recreation and Sport and other related courses depending on experiences or department need. Engage in scholarly research and publication. Advise student majors, serve on department, college and university committees.

Required and Preferred Qualifications:

Required:  Master’s degree in Sports Administration, Recreation or related field with a commitment to complete a doctoral degree by a specified time.
Preferred:  ABD or earned Doctorate in Sports Administration, Recreation or related field; Experience teaching sports management courses or related field; Experience working in the field of Sports Management or related field.
