Job- Flagler College Assistant Professor of Sport Management

The Department of Sport Management at Flagler College invites applications for a full-time faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor to begin August 2014. Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in Sport Management (or have a documented completion date prior to appointment) and be committed to teaching and mentoring undergraduate students. Requirements include evidence of excellence in teaching, an active professional agenda, and teaching and/or industry experience in at least three of the following areas: sport finance, sport sales, governance in sport, administration of sport, and introduction to sport management. Preferred qualifications include evidence of scholarly production, experience in event planning and organization, curriculum development, program accreditation, student club advising, and fundraising. Salary and benefits are competitive and commensurate with rank and experience. Minority candidates are encouraged to apply.

Flagler’s Department of Sport Management was the first undergraduate program in the state of Florida to be approved by the Sport Management Program Review Council (SMPRC). The program has approximately 165 undergraduate students. Flagler College is a private independent college with an enrollment of 2,500 students, located in historic St. Augustine, Florida, 35 miles south of Jacksonville and 55 miles north of Daytona Beach.
