International Partnership Breaks Out in Dance

by C. H. Wilson, Jr. on August 1, 2013

Last night I was invited to be a part of a group of University of Tennessee Kinesiology, Recreation, and Sport Studies students to attend the closing ceremonies of an exchange program that brought Chinese students to our campus from the Shanghai University of Sport. I enjoyed interacting with both the students and the people who ran the program. One highlight was that despite little time to prepare and little space it perform, some of the Chinese dance students gave a wonderful performance of both modern and traditional dance.

I love our university’s emphasis on international collaborations and partnerships. I have learned so much from other cultures and am thankful for the many opportunities I have had while at UT. I would love to hear what other universities and programs are doing so feel free to send an email or leave a comment.

2013 NAKHE Leader Development Workshop

by C. H. Wilson, Jr. on July 10, 2013

I am looking forward to heading to the 2013 NAKHE Leader Development Workshop beginning tomorrow.

I was very impressed with their conference in January and expect more great things out of this event.

Workshops include sessions on leader characteristics, personality traits, emotional intelligence, and fit.
