Call- NAKHE 2014 Collaborative Congress Deadline is here!

Only a few days left to submit proposals for the 2014 Collaborative Congress  – all due September 1st, 2013. The proposals should be relevant to the strands. Strand leaders will be guiding the discussions in each of these areas, however, please submit your proposal to contribute your research and be a part of history. Go to http://www.nakhe.org/proposal%20submission to submit. See attached flyer for overview of conference.
 
Please share this historic conference with your colleagues.
 
Important dates:
September 1 – Proposals due
November 1 – Early bird registration rate ends
December 1 – Preconference registration rate ends
December 6 – Hotel rooms from NAKHE block released to general public

News- Student-Athlete Human Rights Project Potential Conference

The Student-Athletes Human Rights Project (http://studentathleteshumanrights.com) is exploring staging a conference in San Diego, January 16th-18th 2013 (or 15th-17th).
The proposed format includes presentations on critical topics in the morning and working meetings in the afternoon. At the conclusion we hold a press conference with our proposed agenda and action steps. This conference also has the potential to serve as a partial substitute for the NCAA Colloquium that was recently terminated.

We are very interested in partnering with other groups and organizations to stage this event.
